Nebbiolo from the Alps, to drink very good in an Italian for a reasonable price

What is in the bottle

Red dry wine . Rosso di Valtellina 2018

Elaboration area

Valtellina Valley . Rosso di Valtellina DOC . Lombardy . Italian Alps (almost border with Switzerland)

Suitable for

For fans of well-balanced acidity . For those who are not afraid of a good tannin, but rather challenge it with a good meat . Wines with fresh and live fruit, here . You have to try a Nebbiolo . You are welcome

Viticulture and vinification

100% Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) . 13.50%vol. alc. . Terraced vineyards with granite soils and stone walls in harmony with grass cover at an altitude between 350-400m SE . Without rushing “as long as necessary” for the perfect vinification of #nebbiolofromthealps . 150 days macerating (liquid in contact with the skins) in vats (large wooden tanks) . 6 months ageing in 5000 l barrels and passing through concrete before bottling

Tasting notes

Pale maroon color -Wao! The first time I tasted a Nebbiolo I was fooled by its paleness . Fresh red fruit aromas -cherries, strawberries- with a touch of smoke, leather and black pepper . In the mouth, its acidity and tannin levels are high but wonderfully balanced . Burst of fresh red fruit with a long drink and medium body . A young star with a long way to go

Winery hints

Ar.Pe.Pe. @arpepe1860 Family cantina with more than 150 years that prides itself on its patience in producing its only variety, Nebbiolo . Hard work in the field and winery in the Italian Alps heart . A spectacular landscape and wines worth trying and saving
