Viticulture and vinification
100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) . 15.00% Vol. Alc. . Vineyards between 60 and 90 years old from Selected Plots -PS, hence its name- between 800 and 900 m altitude in La Horra, La Aguilera and Fresnillo villages . Limited production elaborated only in exceptional years . 20 months of aging in new French barrels
Tasting notes
What a powerful mouth, very well integrated . An intense ruby color with ripe black fruit, licorice and spices aromas . On the palate velvety and fresh, with soft tannins and such a great body! The complexity and potential of this wine requires patience because its enjoyment really does worth it
Winery hints
AALTO was born from the union of two friends, key figures in the Spanish wine industry: Mr. Mariano García, technical director of Bodegas Vega Silicia for 30 years, and the deceased Mr. Javier Zaccagnini, an industrial engineer converted out of passion to a winemaker . Together they created this modernist winery with two wines that reflect the pure essence of Ribera del Duero in its highest quality
