WINES BY THE GLASS: YES. There is no wine list, but many options. Beside the opened ones, if you ask for anything in particular, they will – 99% probability – open it for you. In fact, they boast with the following (real) phrase “Let me bring you some options for you to try“. There are different wines every day.

WINES BY THE BOTTLE: YES. All the ones on their shelves and…. hidden tidbits.

TERRACE: YES. And what a terrace!

The terrace of Black Sheep is Praça das Flores, a dreamy little square in one of the coolest neighborhoods in Lisbon, with its benches, its fountain, its lawn, its mix of cultures and accents, surrounded by and with a very very nice atmosphere. You order either a glass or a bottle (with its glasses) and get a sit in a bench out in the square, just to enjoy. When you finish, you return the empty bottle and the glasses. Wonderful civility.

CURIOSITIES: If you return to the same place two days in a row… it is definately a very good sign. Black Sheep has become a place of pilgrimage for any wine lover, in Lisbon. A very small place, founded by a couple of Americans and that after a while was transferred to its current owners, Bruna and Lucas, two Brazilian wine lovers, students of the WSET Diploma with such an energy and passion that hooks. The same passion that their entire team has, a group of sommeliers totally dedicated to the cause and to the stories and people behind each of their bottles, all from independent small producers with very clear ideas. Please stop and chat with Bruna (owner, attentive to every detail and customer) and Lina (a very young and fantastic Moldovan sommelier), that little while will make the difference and you will want to come back, again and again. The Black Sheep team is the clear example that when you like what you do and you do it with passion, you transmit it and success does not take long to arrive. Great job.
