Viticulture and vinification
Syrah 100%. .13.50% Vol. alc. . A monovarietal survivor of the Atacama coastal desert extreme climate . Poor limestone soils . Natural wine, minimal intervention . Spontaneous fermentation with autochthonous yeasts . No filtration or clarification . Aged for 24 months in used 228 l French barrels (fifth year)
Tasting notes
Intense ruby color . Deep nose with violets, grass, pepper, and smoke. On the palate blackberries, violets, pepper, leather, toasted wood, and its salinity due to the calcareous soil where the vines are grown . Medium body, present and fully balanced acidity and tannins . Even after two years in the barrel, the used oak provides body, volume and maintains the fruit and its freshness
