Viticulture and vinification
100% Pinot Noir . 12.50% vol. alc. . Very pale and bright color due to variety’s thin skin tipicity . Whole bunch fermentation, developing very present silky tannins, which give back a very long shelf life

Fresh black fruit with earthy and smoky touches . Marked and balanced acidity. Medium body
Winery things
Timo Mayer, a German from Württemberg, a descendant of a family winery with more than 400 years of tradition, decided to go around the world to ended up settle in Australia . Over there, he studied winemaking and worked, among others, for De Bortoli Wines until his own project, Mayer Wines, together with his wife, Rhonda, in the year 2000 . Their wines reflect the cool climate of the area and give an absolute prominence to the single vineyards and soils . An authentic revolution and “provocation” to the traditional style with a minimal intervention, and a lot of “funk”
