Their decision of being outside of Rioja DO, was all about the recognition of this differentiation . Artadi owns 75Ha out of the more than 66.000Ha belonging to the DO. The market asks for tradition, union, history, indigenous varieties, maximum respect to nature, and over all, details that make a DIFFERENCE. Viticulture and vinification
100% Tempranillo . 14,50% Vol. Alc. . Organic certified . A single vineyard wine coming from 3.6Ha from 1930, 1975, and 1988 years vineyards in poor clay loam soils at 500m altitude south facing . A perfect combination between maturity and youthness, you can easily taste the soil through this wine transparency . Malolactic fermentation in barrels . Ageing during 12 months in French new oak

Bodegas Artadi was born in 1985 by Juan Carlos Lopez de Lacalle bringing together eleven families and the traditions of their land, Laguardia. The project was, from the very beginning, a defense of soils range and its landscape richness, having also a microclimate that gives an unique personality to each plot
