It comes from dry-farmed goblet-trained vines more than 70 years old between the villages of San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Leza, in the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria, Rioja . Fermentation in oak barrels and aging for 8 months in new French barrels

Bodegas Contador, Benjamín Romeo . This Riojan, who studied at the Escuela de la Vid in Madrid, on his way to Bordeaux, makes a “technical” stop of more than a decade in Bodegas Artadi, where he becomes one of the reference winemakers in Spain and stays his way to France . In 1995 he acquired one of the caves under the castle of his hometown, San Vicente de la Sonsierra, where he began his personal project, Bodegas Contador, to which he has been fully dedicated since 2000 . In his career, Parker knocks on his door several times, being the only Spanish winery to get 100 points two consecutive years, 2004 and 2005 .
