Viticulture and vinification
100% Red Grenache . 13.00 % Vol. Alc. . Old vineyards (about 50 years old) planted on poor granite soils at 800m altitude . This peculiar and attractive color in the market is achieved thanks to direct grapes pressing without any contact with their skins . The result is an (almost) white wine made from red grapes, also called “blanc de noir” in the Champagne area . Fermentation is made in concrete tanks
Tasting notes
Very pale pink color with orange touches . Strawberries, citrus and a touch of menthol aromas . Good volume on the palate (concrete touch) for a very fresh, light wine with a persistent, pleasant, and tasty after taste
Winery things
Jesús Soto (Chuchi), vintner, winemaker, distributor, and owner of one of the mythical wine shops during the 90s, is the magician behind SOTOMANRIQUE . A personal project that began in 2012 on the river Duero banks, then moved to Gredos in 2016 with more than 20 hectares in property and Cebreros cooperative as his “headquarters” . A pure commitment to soils and old vines recovery through organic farming practices and the utmost respect for the environment and winemaking traditions of Cebreros area
